The former editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics squashes allegations that Joan Celia Lee was manipulating him out of his money, wishing others to be as abusive to him as his daughter.

AceShowbiz - Stan Lee has praised his daughter Joan Celia 'J.C.' Lee in an attempt to quash reports she has been abusing him.

In April The Hollywood Reporter published alarming allegations that the 95-year-old's daughter Joan Celia 'J.C.' Lee and three male associates, Keya Morgan, Jerardo 'Jerry' Olivarez and J.C.'s attorney Kirk Schenck, were manipulating him out of his money.

J.C. and Schenck are currently caring for the comic book legend, and he has now given an interview praising his daughter and denying the abuse claims.

"There really isn't that much drama," he told the Daily Beast website in a chat at his Los Angeles mansion. "As far as I'm concerned, we have a wonderful life. I'm pretty damn lucky. I love my daughter, I'm hoping that she loves me, and I couldn't ask for a better life. If only my wife was still with us. I don't know what this is all about."

Joking about the allegations, he added: "I wish that everyone would be as abusive to me as JC."

He did however admit that he and his daughter have "occasional spats" but gushed that she is a "wonderful daughter". Schenck was also present during the interview.

According to the Daily Beast, the "Spider-Man" creator is nearly deaf, has difficulty breathing and struggles to talk.

Lee previously threatened to sue The Hollywood Reporter for reporting that J.C. was abusing him and that she was frittering away his fortune.

The writer's lawyers have taken legal action against Olivarez and Morgan, and obtained a restraining order against the latter after he was arrested in June for reporting a false emergency. He is also accused of mishandling more than $5 million (£3.7 million) of Lee's money, subjecting him to severe physical and emotional injuries, and of trying to isolate him from his family.

Olivarez, his former publicist and business manager, is accused of taking $1.4 million (£1.04 million) from the veteran star's bank accounts and of using his blood to create a commemorative stamp without consent.
