Shaking off her worry on how people think about the scar above her lip, the 'Cry Pretty' songstress shares a selfie tribute to the filming of her 'Love Wins' music video.

AceShowbiz - Carrie Underwood proudly displayed her scar from her freak accident in a selfie on Instagram on Friday, October 05.

The 35-year-old singer shared a close-up of her face, with the scar above her lip visible, writing alongside it: "FBF (Flashback Friday) to filming the Love Wins music video!"

The snap, which showed her wearing colourful eye make-up and pouting for the camera, comes almost a year after the country singer injured herself in the nasty fall.

In November, days after hosting the Country Music Awards, Carrie tripped on the steps outside her home in Nashville while taking her dogs out, and suffered "multiple injuries."

The freak accident left the "American Idol" star needing 40 to 50 stitches in her face and surgery on her broken wrist.

Carrie then stayed out of the spotlight while she recovered from her injuries, but was worried that people would think the accident was cover for her getting plastic surgery.

"I'm on some magazine every other week for something crazy," the pregnant mother-of-one told Redbook recently. "It's a little sad because the truth is just as interesting. I wish I'd gotten some awesome plastic surgery to make this (scar) look better. But I try not to worry too much about it."

And despite worrying about the scar on her face, Carrie revealed that others have barely noticed it.

"It was also a perception thing, because I look at myself (now) and I see it quite a bit, but other people are like, 'I wouldn't have even noticed.' Nobody else looks at you as much as you think they do. Nobody notices as much as you think they will, so that's been nice to learn,' " she explained.
