AceShowbiz - Just in time for the official release of "Venom", Eminem has premiered a music video for his contribution to the Marvel movie. Released on Friday, October 5, the visuals is a continuation of his "Fall" music video and sees the Detroit rapper possessing innocent citizens.
For those who need a refresher, "Falls" music video ends with Em stepping on a "Revival" CD case. In the beginning of "Venom" music video, a man happens to pick up the broken record on the streets. It turns out that the disc contains a Slim Shady symbiote. The boy gets into a bus, where he passes the symbiote to another person he comes in contact with.
Throughout the music video, the symbiote continues to be passed around to people who end up rapping as they walk through the city and messes things up along the way. Near the end of the clip, the symbiote possesses a hooded figure who is eventually revealed to be Em himself. He then turns into murderous Venom before the scene fades to black.
"Venom" is included on Em's latest album "Kamikaze", which was released on August 31 via Aftermath Entertainment, Interscope Records and Shady Records. The effort received positive reviews from music critics and earned commercial success. It opened at No. 1 on Billboard 200 with 252,000 units, marking his ninth consecutive No. 1 album on the chart. It additionally debuted atop U.K. Albums chart and ARIA Albums chart in Australia.
Despite the success, "Kamikaze" generated some controversy due to his use of homophobic slurs and several diss tracks, including his Machine Gun Kelly diss "Not Alike". The two have since been releasing diss songs aimed at each other, with Em unleashing "Killshot" last month. The song debuted at No. 3 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.
