In the sweltering heat of the Louisiana bayou, a terrifying evil awakens in this gripping horror-thriller directed by Jim Gillespie. The story follows a group of young friends, including the resilient Eden (played by Agnes Bruckner) and her boyfriend Eric (Jonathan Jackson), who are simply trying to enjoy a quiet evening at a remote gas station. Their night takes a nightmarish turn when a local mechanic named Ray (Method Man) arrives, desperate and infected by a parasitic force that turns its victims into murderous, snake-like monsters. As the contagion spreads, the group must barricade themselves inside the station, fighting for survival against both the infected and the terrifying, shape-shifting entity known as the Venom. With a tense, claustrophobic atmosphere and a cast that also includes Bijou Phillips and Meagan Good, the film blends psychological dread with visceral body horror. The characters’ desperate struggle to escape the relentless creature reveals their deepest fears and primal instincts, making for a pulse-pounding experience that keeps viewers on edge until the very end.
