The upcoming DC Universe series, which has been renewed for a sophomore season, also unleashes a trailer that brings together the entire team.

AceShowbiz - "Titans" won't arrive until next week, but fans are getting more details about the upcoming DC series during its panel at the 2018 New York Comic-Con. During the presentation, Geoff Johns announced that the series would feature a fan-favorite character from the DC Comics Universe.

Johns teased that professional mercenary Deathstroke would make an appearance on the live-action series. Not only that, Johns also confirmed that he would bring his son Jericho along with him.

"You'll see Deathstrok in 'Titans' eventually, but it'll be a new version," teased Johns. "You'll definitely see it in the show."

He didn't elaborate though what did he mean by a new version of Deathstroke. Fans assumed that John was referring to a new actor playing the character to distinguish it from Deathstroke live-action incaranation in the Arrowverse. Manu Bennett plays Deathstroke in The CW's Arrowverse.

With the arrival of Deathstroke, fans seemingly expect that DC will adapt Marv Wolfman's "Tales of the Teen Titans", one of the most iconic Teen Titans stories of all time for a future season. Wolfman and George Perez teamed up on "The Judas Contract", a four-issue epic that saw Deathstroke as the major villain.

The story served Deathstroke's backstory when Dick Grayson was forced to team up with the villain's ex-wife. The speculation of the possible "The Judas Contract" adaptation seemingly echoed Johns remarks which said that Wolfman would be happy with season 2 of "Titans".

The series had been renewed for a sophomore season on DC Universe ahead of its debut. In addition to the renewal, DC Universe unveiled a trailer that brings together the entire team.

Starring Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson a.k.a. Robin, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy a.k.a. Garfield Logan, Teagan Croft as Raven a.k.a. Rachel Roth, Anna Diop as Starfire a.k.a. Koriand'r, Alan Ritchson as Hawk and Minka Kelly as Dove, "Titans" follows young soon-to-be superheroes that come from every corner of the DC Universe who are led by Grayson. On this action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes.

"Titans" is slated to debut on October 12 on the DC Universe streaming service.
