The trio held a press conference at the MGM Resorts in Las Vegas on August 28, just days before they officially launch their limited shows.

AceShowbiz - Adam Lambert and Queen are more than ready to kick off their limited Las Vegas show which is dubbed "The Crown Jewels". The "American Idol" alum, along with Brian May and Roger Taylor, held a press conference at the MGM Resorts on August 28 ahead of their first show.

During the conference, the three dished on what fans could expect from their limited show as well as how they agreed to do one. Besides talking about their upcoming show, the rock band also discussed their upcoming biopic "Bohemian Rhapsody", which is due out on November 2 in the U.S.

"The Crown Jewels" will launch on September 1 and only have 10 shows in total. It will conclude on September 22. This isn't the first time the trio has collaborated together. They have been performing together since 2011 and have played over 150 shows all over the world.

Brian said that the three decided to hold a Las Vegas show after watching Celine Dion's residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. They were also inspired by Elton John and Rod Steward who have performed at the venue in the past.

During the conference, Adam revealed that he looked forward to interacting with fans at the shows. "We'll feel a connection with our fans that we haven't had before," he said. "We'll able to maybe take nuances with certain songs, take some liberties."

He continued, "Being in one place for more than two shows is something I haven't done with these guys. It's comfortable, but also a kind of slippery slope of magic."

Talking about what fans can expect during their shows, Brian said that it would feature Frank the Robot, who graced Queen's 1977 album "News of the World" artwork. "He has evolved a little. He's a little different because he knows where he is," he teased.

Not only the trio are excited to play Las Vegas shows, but they are also looking forward to enjoying break in the city. While May said he hoped he could explore southern Nevada, Adam said he would like to go shopping.
