AceShowbiz - This is it! It's finally time for Becca Kufrin to make a final decision in her season of ABC's "The Bachelorette". In season 14 finale, which aired on Monday, August 6, the Bachelorette would make a tough decision between Blake Horstmann and Garrett Yrigoyen while being in the Maldives.
Becca first introduced Garrett to her family. During the meeting, the topic of his previous marriage was unsurprisingly brought up. Garrett explained their marriage ended because his ex didn't seem to make an effort with his family, and all this topic led him to break down in tears.
Garrett also professed his love for Becca as he explained his plans for the future with her. It seemed like Becca's family was fond of him. Her sister even said that Garret made her feel like she'd known him forever.
The next to meet Becca's family was Blake, who opened up to her sister about how he fell in love with Becca because she's a strong woman. While her family loved both Garrett and Blake, they felt that the latter was a more perfect man for Becca, and that added more stress to Becca. She was in dillema and eventually cried to her mother as she didn't want to hurt anyone.
In the end, Becca had to make a decision. Garrett didn't seem too nervous, and he also had a final chance to have a deep conversation with Becca. Becca let him to ask her a final question, but he said that he was completely confident in their relationship.
When his turn came, Blake noticed that Becca was having an internal conflict. He tried to calm her down, urging her to live in the moment on their last date instead of worrying about it. He also gave Becca a time capsule that documented their time together on the show. Before ending the date, he once again made sure that Becca knew he loved her.
The two men later met Neil Lane to pick out an engagement ring for Becca. Garrett went with a ring with three diamonds that represented the past, present and future. Meanwhile, Blake opted for a giant rectangular stone.
The first one who arrived at the rose ceremony was Blake, and this only meant one thing: he was about to be eliminated. Host Chris Harrison said that it was the most emotional breakup in the franchise history. Blake was about to start his proposal when Becca, who looked stunning in a white sequinne dress, cut him off. She told him that she felt she could see the future of them together, though she realized that Garrett had something she couldn't live without. Blake was so devastated. He told Becca that she's making a mistake before leaving her while sobbing.
Blake was not the only one devastated by the decision, because Becca also shed tears after he left. However, she pulled herself together to meet Garrett. She told him she loves him and soon after that, Garrett got down on one knee and proposed to her. Becca gladly accepted his proposal.
