Girls Trip co-writer Tracy Oliver is working on the script for the show, which will be set in New York and revolve around three women who band together to seek revenge on their estranged husbands.

The original film, based on Olivia Goldsmith's 1992 novel, starred Diane Keaton, Bette Midler, and Goldie Hawn.

Scott's new character, Hazel, is a former music superstar who discovers her manage-husband has been cheating on her.

Filming is scheduled to begin in New York City this autumn for a 2019 premiere on America's Paramount Network, according to Deadline.
