The new project was set to premiere later this year, but Susanne Daniels admits it is more than likely to be delayed in light of Demi's struggles.

AceShowbiz - Demi Lovato had been in the process of making a second documentary series before her suspected drug overdose.

The singer was hospitalised on Tuesday, July 24 after suffering a health emergency at her home in the Hollywood Hills, and on Friday, July 27, YouTube executive Susanne Daniels revealed they had been working with the Cool for the "Summer" hitmaker on another behind-the-scenes show following 2017's "Simply Complicated".

The new project was set to premiere later this year, but Daniels admits it is more than likely to be delayed in light of Demi's struggles.

"I hope she's feeling better," she said. "Demi Lovato is my hero. She's been honest and so candid about her struggles..."

"We want her to get well, and then she'll decide what she wants to say or not say about this," she added. "(It's) up to Demi, what she wants to say and what she wants to do."

"Simply Complicated" showcased the pop star speaking openly about her past addiction struggles as she detailed her years of alcohol and drug abuse.

Demi, 25, has yet to personally address her suspected overdose, but her representative has already urged fans not to believe everything they read in the press.

"Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support," the spokesperson shared in a statement late on Tuesday. "Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now."
