AceShowbiz - Spending times behind the bars didn't make Meek Mill lose his touch in music. In fact, he comes back stronger than ever. Just months after being released from prison, Mill unveiled a new EP entitled "Legends of the Summer" and immediately garnered praises from music critics.

Mosi Reeves of Rolling Stones noted that the best thing about the four-track EP lies in the fact that the rapper "fills his listeners with hope that, yes, it is possible to survive and thrive in a country seemingly determined to deliver rough extrajudicial justice to people of color."

Meanwhile, Sheldon Pearce of Pitchfork specifically said that track "Stay Woke" featuring Miguel is one of his best songs ever. He noted that the song is "well written, well-rapped, performed as if in search of solace." As you may recall, Mill debuted performance of the song at the 2018 BET Awards at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California on June 24. His performance was also loved by many due to its emotional setting.

"Legends of the Summer" does not only receive positive reviews from critics, but it is also commercially successful. The effort launched at No. 9 on Billboard 200 chart, making his fifth top ten album. Mill previously visited the top 10 with "Wins and Losses" (No. 3, 2017), "DC4" (No. 3, 2016), "Dreams Worth More Than Money" (No. 1 for two weeks, 2015) and "Dreams and Nightmares" (No. 2, 2012).

He also earned his fifth top ten album on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart as the effort opened at No. 8 on the chart. Two songs off the effort, "Millidelphia" featuring Swizz Beats and "Dangerous" featuring Jeremih and PnB Rock, arrived at No. 40 and No. 44 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart respectively.

It appears Mill doesn't plan to take a break after releasing the effort. Rumor has it, he is currently working on his upcoming album.
