A trailer for the next season of the time travel drama, starring the first female Doctor Jodie Whittaker, will air during the BBC's half-time coverage.
The footage comes almost exactly a year after Whittaker was announced as Peter Capaldi's replacement on the show, and it will air days before the actress and her castmates appear at the world's biggest entertainment convention, Comic-Con, in San Diego, California.
Earlier this month, bosses at the BBC took legal action to track down the person or persons responsible for leaking a short unfinished clip of Whittaker's debut as the Doctor in the new season of the show's first episode online, along with two stills of the actress in character.
The fresh string of Doctor Who episodes will be broadcast in the U.K. later this year.
