AceShowbiz - After three years and two seasons of "Bachelor in Paradise", Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon are finally officially a couple. The new lovebirds announce their blossoming romance during an episode of Ashley's show, "The Story of Us".
Coming via PEOPLE, the Tuesday, May 22 episode sees Ashley and Jared sharing all the details of their love story. The 30-year-old beauty, who has been openly pining over Jared for the last few years, looks beaming as she reveals how their romance starts. "It was truly love at first sight and I didn't believe in it until then," she says of the moment she met Jared at a bar during "Bachelor Paradise" in 2015.
As for Jared, he shares that his first impression of Ashley is that he thought she's odd when she got out of the limo during Chris Soules' season of "The Bachelor". "And then obviously you were a little emotional and I was like I'm not sure if I can end up being with somebody who's so emotional," he adds. He goes on saying that he was a little freaked out when he noticed that Ashley was "staring" at him a lot during the show.
Despite the fact that he never dated "big personality" and "not very well-composed" woman before, Jared reveals that he's always comfortable around Ashley. "I remember we went on that date, we were in the dune buggy date and I remember being just so comfortable with you and how easily we got along and how the conversation just flowed. And it never felt dull or never felt awkward," he explains.
In the third season of "Bachelor in Paradise", Ashley found herself crying over Jared falling for Caila Quinn. However, it appeared that she managed to move on as she began dating Kevin Wendt after meeting him on "Bachelor Winter Games". "I remember I heard rumors that you might have met somebody, and I was sad," says Jared. "Sometimes I need a kick in the a**. That was a big kick in the a**."
That serves a big realization for Jared that he has feelings for Ashley all this time. After opening up to their "fairy godfather" and fellow "Bachelor" alum Tanner Tolbert, he decided to confess his feelings to Ashley. However, Ashley wasn't ready to leave Kevin for him. "I remember you said 'I'm gonna keep dating [Kevin],' " Jared shares. "I knew that in the coming months, I would have to really show Ashley that I was very serious about this."
Ashley and Kevin's relationship ended in March, and that was when Jared sent Ashley an emotional love letter. "I was scream-crying basically alone in my apartment reading that just sobbing and sobbing," she says. "He's written me other letters and filled my apartment with flowers. He tells me every day that he's the luckiest man alive."
