Upon learning that the two 'Golden Bachelor' alums blamed long distance for their recent separation, the 'Bachelor in Paradise' contestant says that it's 'BS.'

AceShowbiz - The former stars of "The Golden Bachelor", Gerry Turner, 72, and Theresa Nist, 70, have filed for divorce after just three months of marriage. The couple announced their split on "Good Morning America" on April 12.

Turner cited an "irretrievable breakdown" as the reason for the split. He filed for the dissolution of their marriage in Indiana on the same day they separated, April 12.

During their interview on "GMA", Turner and Nist explained that their decision to end their relationship was due to distance issues. Turner lives in Indiana, while Nist resides in New Jersey.

"We looked at homes in South Carolina, we considered New Jersey, and we just looked at homes after home, but we never got to the point where we made that decision," Nist said.

Despite their efforts, they were unable to find a compromise that would work for both of them. "We just feel like it's best for the happiness of each of us to live apart," Turner said.

Ashley Iaconetti, "The Bachelor" alum and the "Bachelor in Paradise" contestant, expressed skepticism about the couple's reasons for divorce. "I think a lot of what they said in the GMA interview was BS because you just don't say 'we still love each other' and then get divorced," she said. "You just don't."

Iaconetti, who met and married her husband Jared Haibon on the show, suggested that a couple in love should be willing to find a way to make a long-distance relationship work. "If it's a distance thing, at their age, live in Indiana, live in New Jersey. Visit each other once or twice a month...I don't buy that moving thing is the reason they got divorced three months in," she said.
