The network and CBS TV Studios, which produces the series, say that they 'are committed to a safe work environment on all our shows.'

AceShowbiz - CBS has broken its silence on multiple on-set "physical assaults" accusation by "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service" alum Pauley Perrette. CBS TV Studios reveals that prior to posting a series of cryptic tweets, Perette had came to the heads of the studio with a workplace concern.

"Pauley Perrette had a terrific run on NCIS and we are all going to miss her," CBS TV Studios, which produces the drama for the network, says in a statement. "Over a year ago, Pauley came to us with a workplace concern. We took the matter seriously and worked with her to find a resolution. We are committed to a safe work environment on all our shows."

Perrette later takes to her Twitter account to respond to CBS' comment on her physical assaults allegation which may lead to her exit. "I want to thank my studio and network CBS They have always been so good to me and always had my back," she tweets.

The 49-year-old actress previously wrote on the micro-blogging site, claiming that "there is a 'machine' keeping me silent and feeding FALSE stories about me." She goes on tweeting, "A very rich, very powerful publicity 'machine'. No morals, no obligation to truth, and I'm just left here, reading the lies, trying to protect my crew. Trying to remain calm. He did it."

She added, "I've been supporting ant-bullying programs forever. But now I KNOW because it was ME! If it's school or work, that you're required to go to? It's horrifying. I left. Multiple Physical Assaults. I REALLY get it now. Stay safe. Nothing is worth your safety. Tell someone."

Perrette, who starred on "NCIS" as beloved forensic scientist Abby Sciuto for 15 seasons, bid farewell to fans on May 8 episode. The show has been renewed for a 16th season which is set to air in the fall.
