AceShowbiz - Fans may now know the reasons behind Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez's recent split. A new report suggests that the former Disney darling opted to walk away from the Biebz because the latter couldn't promise her a serious future she wants.

"He loved her very much and still does and she still has strong feelings for him. But he wasn't ready to settle down with her as soon as she wanted to and she couldn't get him to actually think about marriage in a serious nature," a source close to the "Despacito" hitmaker shares to HollywoodLife.com.

Meanwhile, Selena reportedly wants to settle down soon following her life-saving kidney transplant in the summer of 2017. The insider says, "Selena's priorities drastically changed after her surgery and her perspective on life has shifted. She was looking to settle down sooner than Justin wanted to and she took his reluctance as the last straw to finally move on from him."

Previous report said that Selena had "completedly moved on" from her on-and-off beau. The 25-year-old beauty was also said to be "not interested in getting back together with him anytime soon." While Selena "respects him as a person," she allegedly "has decided she is much happier doing her own thing." According to the source, she's rarely talking about Justin anymore, and is "fully open to dating."

"Selena is going in a different direction with her life," the sources continue saying. "She's had a lot of self-reflection time and it's been good for her. She's hanging out with friends and taking it easy."

However, fans assumed that Selena is talking about Justin in her new single "Back to You", which was released on May 10. The song finds the "Fetish" songstress singing, "Let a couple years water down how I'm feeling about you/ Everybody knows we got unfinished business." The chorus goes, "What was there wasn't sure/ But I'd go back to you/ I know I'd go back to you."
