Directed by Richard Ladkani, it will feature "The Wolf of Wall Street" actor, who met with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto to discuss his concerns about the creatures.

The documentary has been developed by DiCaprio's Appian Way production company and it will be completed later this year. It will premiere in 2019, according to Variety.

DiCaprio is known for his environmental protection efforts and in 2016 he produced an acclaimed documentary about the illegal ivory trade, titled "The Ivory Game", which Ladkani co-directed.
