Patrick Reardon, who used to work for the Weinstein Company, has been tapped to serve as the Executive Vice President of Scripted and Unscripted Television.

AceShowbiz - Jay-Z is adding a new TV production department to his ever-expanding Roc Nation entertainment firm. Former the Weinstein Company official Patrick Reardon has been tapped to serve as the Executive Vice President of Scripted and Unscripted Television, focusing on developing and producing top content, both scripted and unscripted, according to Variety.

"Roc Nation is such an influential and dynamic company" Reardon shares in a statement. "I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to work with them as they expand their brand into television."

The company already has a presence on the small screen as Jay-Z executive produced two social justice projects. They were 2017's documentary series "TIME: The Kalief Browder Story" and the upcoming "Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story", which recently premiered at New York's Tribeca Film Festival.

Roc Nation chiefs are also working on an unscripted series for Amazon Studios.

Jay-Z founded the brand in 2008 as a music and management firm, with superstar clients like Mariah Carey, Rihanna, and DJ Khaled. It has since become a full-service entertainment company. Its subsidiary, Roc Nation Sports, is established to service professional athletes.
