AceShowbiz - Ellen DeGeneres apologized to Jenna Dewan for accidentally adding "Tatum" onto her surname as she appeared on her talk show on Wednesday, May 2. The host announced the arrival of "Jenna Dewan Tatum" as the "Step Up" actress appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" with her "World of Dance" colleagues Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough and Ne-Yo for a pre-recorded chat.

Ellen quickly realized she had used the name Jenna went by when she was married to Channing Tatum, who she recently split from, and corrected her mistake, before issuing an apology to her during the interview.

"I'm so sorry," she said. "I introduced you and it was such a habit. And I have to say the way that you and Channing are handling everything is beautiful for your daughter and the statements have been great. I apologize. I just have known both of you for so long, and I'm so used to saying..."

However, the dancer was understanding, and replied, "I know, I know. Thank you. Honestly, thank you and everybody for all the love and support. It's truly so moving, so thank you. It's all love!"

During the exchange, Jennifer held onto Jenna's hand and pulled her in for a hug afterward.

The 37-year-old announced her split from the "Magic Mike" actor, who she married in 2009, at the start of April, and she has since dropped "Tatum" from her name on social media.

She attended a "World of Dance" event on Tuesday evening and assured Entertainment Tonight that she was doing well, and revealed she was going to be spending U.S. Mother's Day on 13 May with her four-year-old daughter Everly.

"I always want Mother's Day to be like family. I want to do something together, I want to be with Evie," she shared. "Just have a really nice day and then the next day I want to go to the spa. That's what I want. I want the balance. I want the mommy time and then I want the 'me time'. So that's my plan."
