The 'We Are All Made of Stars' hitmaker will auction off items which are up to 30 years old to benefit the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.

AceShowbiz - Dance music star Moby is selling off gear and equipment he has used throughout his career to raise funds for a medical charity. The "We Are All Made of Stars" hitmaker has opted to clear out a storage facility and pass on items that are up to 30 years old to benefit the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.

"This is the equipment I've used to make all my records," Moby said. "I have so much equipment and almost all of it has profound sentimental value to me, including synthesizers I started using in the Eighties. But rather than keep it all in storage, I want to sell it for a good cause."

In a video posted online, Moby explains the stories behind many of the items on offer, and what he used them for.

Highlights include the Ibanez guitar Moby used from the mid-1980s to late-1990s and on his 1999 album Play, and a Roland Jupiter-6 keyboard, which Moby used on some of his earliest records.

The sale begins on Thursday, April 26 on Reverb.com.
