AceShowbiz - Actor Clayne Crawford has apologized for his bad behavior on the set of the "Lethal Weapon" TV series amid reports suggesting he's about to be replaced. Crawford has now admitted he was "reprimanded twice" during the second season of the series.
The actor has issued and apology statement, which reads, "I absolutely love, respect and care for my crew and cast, and would never intentionally jeopardize so many jobs. I am incredibly sorry if my passion for doing good work has ever made anyone feel less than comfortable on our set, or feel less than celebrated for their efforts. Furthermore, I apologize to all the crew and cast for any negative attention 'Lethal Weapon' is receiving because of these incidents."
Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that producers at Warner Bros. Television are considering recasting Crawford's leading role prior to a third-season renewal.
The TV show, in which Crawford tackled Mel Gibson's role of Martin Riggs, still hasn't been picked up for a third season by Fox TV bosses, and insiders believe a lot of that has to do with the action show's leading man.
The first incident came after he lost his temper over alleged unsafe working conditions, while he also became angry when a cast member was injured in a blast effect while he was directing an episode. After the first reprimand, Crawford met with TV bosses who insisted he attend therapy sessions, while sharing a "sizable portion" of his pay cheque with one of the people he lashed out at.
