The late 'Glee' alum's family is seeking the return of the money he had to put up to secure his release on child pornography charges in light of his death.

AceShowbiz - Mark Salling's relatives are seeking the return of the $150,000 the tragic "Glee" star had to put up to secure his release on child pornography charges in light of his death. The disgraced actor had been awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to the counts when he was found hanging from a tree near his home in Sunland, California in January 2018.

Prosecutors eventually dropped the indictment against Salling following his passing, and now officials for his estate have moved to reclaim the money the 35-year-old had put up for bond in 2016, and the additional $100,000 cash deposit he had to make before authorities agreed to grant him bail ahead of his criminal trial.

Paperwork was filed in a federal court on Friday, April 20, according to TheBlast.com. The judge overseeing the case has yet to issue a ruling.

Coroners previously declared Salling, who played Noah 'Puck' Puckerman on hit TV series "Glee", had taken his own life. His cause of death was listed as asphyxia by hanging.
