The 'Tonight Show' host fights back tears as he heaps praise for his former 'Saturday Night Live' co-star, whom he credits for changing him for the better.

AceShowbiz - Comedian Jimmy Fallon fought back tears on Thursday, April 19, as he paid a special tribute to his longtime pal Tina Fey for the huge impact she has had on his life. The heartfelt speech was made on his late night series "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon", after airing a segment in which he and Tina surprised fans attending her "Mean Girls" musical on Broadway by jumping out to greet them after they shared how her career had inspired them in their lives.
Revealing there was one more fan who wanted to express a few words of gratitude, Jimmy then took center stage and grew emotional as he praised his former "Saturday Night Live" co-star. "If you're lucky throughout your life, you to get to meet and spend time with a few people who really change you for the better," Fallon began. "I am that lucky. For me, you are one of those people."
He added, "I have two daughters and my hope for them is that they grow up to be leaders like you and be as fearless and confident in their strengths as you are. I love you."
The two old friends got their start on comedy show "Saturday Night Live" in the late 1990s, and went on to front the series' "Weekend Update" segment together.
