The 'Happy Days' actor has completed two seven-hour classes under the supervision of L.A. Police Department officials before becoming an official team member.

AceShowbiz - Actor Scott Baio has completed an emergency response training programme after witnessing the destruction caused by the California wildfires. The "Happy Days" star and his wife Renee have become certified volunteers and can help members of their Woodland Hills community handle threats caused by fires, earthquakes and terrorist attacks.
According to The Blast, the two were motivated to help others after experiencing the horrors of the wildfires first hand. At one point, their daughter Bailey's school was at risk of being destroyed by the blaze.
Becoming a member of the Los Angeles Community Emergency Response Team requires the completion of two seven-hour classes under the supervision of L.A. Police Department officials.
His new community role is a little good news for Baio, who is currently under investigation for allegedly assaulting actress Nicole Eggert on the set of TV sitcom "Charles in Charge". He firmly denies the accusation, though.
The actor, who has been accused of misconduct and underage sex from two former castmates, also recently revealed his wife is fighting moderate to severe chronic microvascular disease. Renee, 45, announced the news last month and Scott followed it up with a statement issued to Deadline.
"Unfortunately, this is true," he said. "Renee is forever my rock, my life & my soulmate! Toughest person I know." Scott explained the former stuntwoman suffered a "massive brain injury" in 1992 when she was involved in a jet ski accident, adding, "We don't know if her tumours and this new disease has anything to do with this.
"All we know is she must live as stress-free, depression-free and anxiety-free as possible and a get good amount of sleep each night. This new disease can cause strokes and dementia," he continued.
