AceShowbiz - Is Daniel Henney off the market? On Monday, April 9, news emerged that the 38-year-old hunk's dating Japanese-American actress Ru Kumagai. Fans were even more convinced that the two were an item as they allegedly shared a series of "lovestagram."
Both stars often posted on Instagram pictures which suggested that they were at the same place around the same time. Moreover, Daniel recently shared a photo of Ru's dog Stella, and Ru was spotted with Daniel's dog Mango. The "Criminal Minds" actor also liked one of Ru's photos.
Daniel has not personally addressed the dating news, but his agency Echo Global Group has denied it. "After checking with him, we are letting you know that they are actor colleagues that met at a friendly gathering and that he is just close colleagues with Ru Kumagai. It is not true that they are dating," they said in a statement.
The agency added, "We apologize for the late statement as it took a long time to check with him due to the time difference. Thank you."
Daniel himself continues teasing his fans with his sexy picture. The American actor and model recently shared a shot of him wearing a robe while holding a cup and standing on a van, oozing his natural charm. "Mornings are for coffee and contemplation," he wrote in the caption.
Daniel was born in Carson City, Michigan to a Korean-American mother, Christine, and an Irish-American father, Philip Henney. He started his modeling career in the U.S. and made his debut in South Korea with an advertisement for the Amore Pacific's cosmetic "Odyssey Sunrise".
He became a household name, particularly in Asia, after starring on South Korean hit TV drama "My Lovely Sam Soon". He later starred on another drama, "Spring Waltz", in 2006 and in his first feature film in Korea, "Seducing Mr. Perfect". He received multiple awards in South Korea for his role in "My Father".
In Hollywood, he landed roles in films such as "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" and "The Last Stand". He also lent his voice in "Big Hero 6". After being a part of "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders" which only lasted for two seasons, Daniel joined its mothership series "Criminal Minds" as a series regular in season 13.
