The 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' actor has checked into a rehab center in Arizona to seek professional help after shooting 3 films in a year.

AceShowbiz - "S.W.A.T." actor Colin Farrell has decided not to get involved in drug and alcohol abuse again after 12 years of sobriety. As stated by Daily Mail, Colin voluntarily entered a luxurious rehabilitation center called The Meadows in the Arizona desert this past week. It was said that the rehab cost $36,000 for a one-month program.
According to a source close to the star, Colin became "overwhelmed" after completing three films in a year and he got the "urges" to start "using" again. Thus, he decided to seek professional help before "going down that rabbit hole again."
The source said, "We all know that Colin is an addict, he's had 12 years of sobriety. He was overwhelmed for the past year and the urges started to come back with being so busy at work and he felt, eventually, out of control and thought maybe he should get ahead of it before he starts using again."
"He decided to preemptively check himself in before it went to a bad place. He didn't want to go down that rabbit hole again. He's so hyper aware that he's an addict that he felt that he could very easily start using again," added the source.
"He isn't drinking again," another source also told PEOPLE. "He worked back-to-back projects and just needed a break. He's been sober 12 years and wanted to do this to make sure he stays that way. He's taking some me-time and doing a tune-up and a reset. This was all his idea."
The 41-year-old actor previously talked about his sobriety in a 2008 interview with BBC's "Friday Night With Jonathan Ross". In the interview, he admitted that he found it hard to recall the last 10 years of his life of consuming drug and alcohol.
He continued, "For me, [there was] no choice to be honest with you. I was pretty sick." When asked whether or not getting sober was difficult, he replied, "At the beginning, yeah. [It was] really hard, a nightmare, man."
When talking about his drug addiction, Colin said, "I don't believe I have any chemical predisposition towards depression, but let's just call it… I was suffering from a spiritual malady for years and I indulged it. You can feel very alive when you're in pain." He added, "I'm glad I'm out of that cycle of my life. I'm very lucky."
