While Mary's emotional performance was introduced by Taraji P. Henson, Keala's show-stopping performance was introduced by her 'The Greatest Showman' co-star Zendaya.

AceShowbiz - Mary J. Blige and Keala Settle were among the acts who performed at the 90th annual Academy Awards, which took place at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 4. While Mary delivered a rousing rendition of "Mighty River", Keala wowed the audience with the rendition of her hit "This Is Me".

Taraji P. Henson took the stage to introduce Mary's performance. "This song acknowledges the struggle and pain of life while urging for our differences to be washed away," she said of the song. Mary then appeared on stage in a bold red dress, belting out the song alone. After singing the first chorus, a small group of choir joined her.

Meanwhile, Keala's performance was introduced by her "The Greatest Showman" co-star Zendaya Coleman, who called the song "so much more than a piece of music." Keala began her performance by singing under a spotlight. As the song went on, the lights came up to reveal a slew of dancers and singers behind her. She nearly choked up towards the end of the performance, but fortunately it didn't affect her stunning vocals. Viola Davis was caught on camera excitedly jamming to the song.

Other acts who hit the stage at the award show were Gael Garcia Bernal, Miguel and Natalia Lafourcade. The three belted out Best Original Song-winning track "Remember Me", which served as the soundtrack to "Coco". Gael stood alone on the stage alongside an acoustic guitar player to start off the song slowly. Miguel and Natalia then joined him as the stage turned bright. The huge bell which killed Ernesto de la Cruz in the film could be seen behind them.

Eddie Vedder, on the other hand, performed a cover of Tom Petty's "Room at the Top" during the in memoriam tribute at the event. The Pearl Jam frontman performance was introduced by Jennifer Garner. "We remember their lives and their impact on motion pictures with a song from an inspirational artist we lost this past year," she said. The tribute honored Roger Moore, Jerry Lewis, Brad Grey and more.

Other performers who delivered a performance that night included Common and Sufjan Stevens. While Common joined forces with Andra Day to belt out a powerful rendition of "Stand Up for Something", Sufjan performed "Mystery of Love".
