AceShowbiz - It's very Justin Bieber / Selena Gomez-esque! Another famous, former couple, Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama, sparked reconciliation rumors after they were spotted enjoying a late lunch together on Saturday, February 24 at a Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles.
In a photo obtained by TMZ, Demi was seen sitting with her Venezuelan ex-boyfriend at a table at Sol Y Luna in the San Fernando Valley. The duo were both wearing matching gray hooded sweatshirts. The "Tell Me You Love Me" songstress pulled her hair up into a tight, high bun for the lunch date.
Demi and Wilmer were among the most popular celebrity couples when they were together. The 25-year-old former Disney darling and the 38-year-old actor dated for almost six years before breaking up in June 2016, saying, "We have realized more than anything that we are better as best friends."
They have indeed remained friendly since their split. Last August, Wilmer attended Demi's birthday party at a Dave & Buster's. The two had also reunited two months prior, at her house, where she hosted a barbecue for her friends. "Best of friends no matter what," she said through an Instagram post at the time.
Demi and Wilmer having a lunch together comes just months after the songstress admitted in her documentary that her heart's always with him. In the doc called "Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated" that was released last October, Demi opened up about overcoming her personal struggles and also talked about Wilmer.
"I still love Wilmer," she confessed. "I don't know if I'll lose him for the rest of my life...I think my heart's always with Wilmer. I think that it was with Wilmer, I think that it is with Wilmer, and I think that it will be."
"You don't share six years with somebody and not give them a piece of your heart, and vice-versa," the "Skyscraper" hitmaker went on sharing. She added, "I'm pretty sure that I'm not gonna meet anybody that compares to him, but I'm trying to keep an open heart and an open mind when it comes to that."
