In the newly-released teaser of the interstellar series, Holden (Steven Strait) indicates that the characters will be dealing with their own internal struggles.

AceShowbiz - "The Expanse" has dropped the first trailer of its upcoming season 3. The 30-second video of the critically-acclaimed Syfy series hints that the new season will find "Earth, Mars and The Belt at war, with each competing entity vying for control."

Holden (Steven Strait) opens the teaser as he can be heard saying in voiceover, "We all make mistakes. Each of us has demons, regrets, a past that haunts us." He further indicates that the characters will be dealing with their own internal struggles, adding, "But now it's time to decide if we'll let those mistakes define us. In war, we not only have to face our enemies, but we must fight the battle within ourselves."

The upcoming 13-part third season seemingly will see things taking turn for the worse. In addition to the new and terrifying arms race, protomolecule is making its way through the solar system. The teaser also briefly glimpses the aftermath of the attack on Chrisjen (Shohreh Aghdashloo).

"It's time to find out who we really are," Holden concludes, before the teaser reveals that season 3 of the interstellar series is set to arrive on April 11 on the network.

Produced by Alcon Television Group and the Sean Daniel Company, "The Expanse" unfolds across a colonized galaxy 200 years in the future, when two strangers become unwittingly swept up in a vast conspiracy. It is based on the bestselling book series by Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck, who goes under the pen name James S. A. Corey.

Also starring on the series are Dominique Tipper, Cas Anvar, Wes Chatham and Frankie Adams. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Mitchell and David Strathairn are set to appear in the new season in recurring roles.
