Chrissy Teigen is giving birth to her second child with husband John Legend in just a matter of months, so throwing a baby shower is only natural. However, it appears she wasn't the one who planned the whole event. Her friends threw the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model a surprise baby shower in New York City on Wednesday, February 21.
Chrissy shared footage from the surprise event to her Instagram followers the following day. "These are my best girl friends on the planet," she said in the clip. "I have a surprise baby shower. I love you guys." She captioned the adorable vid, "Man. Ain't nothing like girlfriends. Love you guys so much. Thank you for loving me back."
A baby shower will not be complete without gifts, and Chrissy definitely received plenty of them. Some of her gifts included a Hatch Mama gift box, Andrea Beaty's children book "Iggy Peck, Architect" and a Polaroid OneStep 2 Instant Film Camera.
Chrissy announced that she's pregnant with her second child, a baby boy, in November last year. The 32-year-old model recently revealed on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that she and her husband still had not decided on a name for their unborn baby.
"Boy names are really tough, I don't even think he will have a middle name because we can't even think of a first name," she shared, before Ellen DeGeneres jokingly suggested "Urban Legend" as the name for the baby. Chrissy also revealed that she has "been toying with Dick Legend a lot... Richard Legend."
"Everyone's like, 'Why don't you do the J.J. thing, John Jr.?' But John and his ego, he was like, 'I don't want him to feel like he has to live up to that,' " she continued, laughing. "And I was like, 'Wow, you are a jerk. Sorry, heaven forbid he do what you do. So incredible.' "
