Meanwhile, the 36-year-old race car driver reveals in a new interview that he kisses someone on the very first night of the upcoming season 22.

AceShowbiz - It seems like Bachelor Nation is still not happy with Arie Luyendyk Jr. being The Bachelor in the upcoming season 22. Fans are reportedly petitioning to let them choose the next star.

Written by Jane Stolar, the description of the petition reads, "For too long, the Bachelor franchise has been downright lazy in its selection of Bachelors. Never has it been more clear than with the selection of lame, boring Arie." It also claims that "no one is excited about Arie."

"As fans of the show who invest hours in the Journey each week, we are owed this opportunity. Give us the chance to right the wrongs of the franchise," Stolar continues. "Let America pick the next Bachelor."

Meanwhile, it's said that Arie has finished filming his season. The 36-year-old race car driver reveals in a new interview with E! News that he breaks the one rule he sets for himself on the first night. The runner up from Emily Maynard's "The Bachelorette" season appears that he is living up to his "Kissing Bandit" nickname as he kisses someone on the first night.

"That first night I told myself I'm not going to kiss anybody, you know, and then it happened," he shares.

Arie returns to the franchise after five years, but it doesn't mean that the producers are not interested in him until recently. "I did get asked to do the first 'Bachelor in Paradise' and I remember telling the producers at that point it's just not me," Arie opens up. "If you ever want me to be the Bachelor, I'll do that. But as far as the spin-off show, I just didn't feel like that fit my personality."

"The Bachelor" season 22, which will see 29 women vying for Arie's final rose, premieres Monday, January 1, 2018 at 8 P.M. on ABC.
