AceShowbiz - Litia Garr, the runner-up in Grant Ellis' season of "The Bachelor", is breaking her silence following a dramatic season finale of the dating show, where she felt blindsided by his sudden proposal to Juliana Pasquarosa.
In an appearance on the "Relationsh*t with Kamie Crawford" podcast, Litia delved into the emotional rollercoaster of her relationship with Grant, sharing insights and frustrations that were hidden from viewers during the season finale.
Despite their split, Litia revealed she still owned the journal Grant gifted her to write down her feelings throughout the show, a gesture he repeated with Juliana, his final pick and now fiancee.
"Why would you give multiple women journals and ask them to write down all their feelings for you so you can read through it at the end? Why would you ask multiple women to do that?" Litia questioned his sincerity.
She further emphasized her skepticism, "That seems to me like a stroke of the ego, so that you know everyone is really dwelling and sitting in this Grant, Kool-Aid world."
The audience watched in shock as Grant, 31, ended his relationship with Litia, 31, and proposed to Juliana on the March 24 episode. Litia alleged that Grant had given her constant reassurance she was The One, recounting moments leading up to the final rose where Grant expressed eagerness to move beyond the show and be together in private.
Litia recalled feeling confident in her relationship with Grant as she headed into the finale, citing numerous signals that he would choose her. Among them was the fact that Grant encouraged her to speak first during her declaration of love. "He asked me to give the speech," Litia said, which solidified her belief that she was the chosen one.
However, the aftermath revealed a different story. Litia described their breakup conversation as unusual, lasting 45 minutes, far longer than typical on the show. She felt it was more about Grant managing her perception of him rather than addressing the emotional weight of their breakup adequately.
"It was just him trying to manage my perception more than him walking me through how he got there," she explained.
Since the finale, Litia hasn't heard from Grant and doesn't expect to. While she understands why he is approaching post-show discussions as he does, she maintains her perspective. "At the end of the day, I know what happened," she asserted, confident that her reality aligns with the show's production team's accounts.
Ultimately, Litia emphasized that the issue wasn't Grant saying “I love you” to multiple women, which is common on the show, but rather the specific promises he made. This candid discussion provides invaluable context for Bachelor Nation, offering a deeper understanding of the emotional complexities behind reality TV's glossy facade.
