It looks like Aaron Carter is doing good. The 29-year-old singer looked happy and healthy as he spent Thanksgiving volunteering at Project Angel Food, a non-profit organization that cooks and delivers meals to those affected by life-threatening illness.

Aaron took to his Instagram account to share a series of photos which showed himself chopping onions and preparing meals. One of the snaps showed him, dressed in a black ensemble with a blue apron and hat, flashing a big smile as he posed for the camera with a male cook and singer Charo, who also volunteered.

"Today, I'm thankful to be able to give back to @ProjectAngelFood. #MonthOfGiving #FoodIsLove#FoodIsMedicine," so Aaron wrote in the caption. The "I Want Candy" singer went on to wish his fans a Happy Thanksgiving Day, before telling them, "You can donate by texting Angel17 to 243725."

The organization also took to its own account to share a couple of photos featuring green-haired Aaron and revealed that the singer and other cooks were "cooking and delivering 400 hot meals to clients" that day.

Aaron has had a rough time in the past few months, having suffered from health issues, been arrested for DUI and had a brief rehab stint. Entering a health and wellness facility in September, he stayed there for two weeks before checking out due to "several legal and personal matters," his rep said in a statement at the time.

The "Sooner or Later" singer, who came out as bisexual via Twitter in early August, then returned to the facility in mid-October, and has since celebrated his weight gain. He took to Twitter to reveal that he was "feeling stronger" while still in treatment, and later shared on Instagram side-by-side photos of his progress.

"This is my before and after pics. I went from 115 to 160 pounds in two months I feel amazing," he told his fans, before announcing, "2018 I'm ready for you!! My new Music is on its way!"
