Aaron Carter is taking a break from the spotlight to focus on his health. The 29-year-old is confirmed to seek help in rehab. "Aaron has decided to enter a facility to improve his health and work on his overall wellness," his rep tells E! News.

"He is going to do this privately and focus all his attention on being the best person and performer possible. He is grateful for the support and love from his fans and looks forward to coming back stronger than ever before," his camp continues.

Earlier this month, Aaron got into a car accident. "TBH this s**t hurts my arms hurt my legs hurt all my airbags went off I broke my nose this is f**ked up," he wrote in a series of tweets. "Life is really so precious, I just got into a terrible accident and completely totaled my BMW M4. I never meant to get into an accident as severe as this. I've ran into people before and honestly nothing compares to what happened today."

The former child star later confessed to drug and cosmetic surgery addictions. He used presciption pills to ease the "stress of pain or angst," and went under the knife due to his insecurities. "I get fillers. Restylane, Voluma, Rejuviderm. I get all three, and I'm going to continue doing it," he said during his appearance on "The Doctors".

Aaron Carter had a tumultuous few months since his DUI arrest in July. After his run-in with the law, he came out as a bisexual and it cost him his relationship with Madison Parker. "I had discussed it with my ex-girlfriend, and she didn't really understand it," he revealed. "She didn't want [to]. And that was it. So we left it mutual and parted ways." His former girlfriend quickly denied his homophobic accusations.
