The 'Fast and Furious' actor has been granted 50/50 joint custody of his 10-year-old daughter, as none of his ex's requests including full custody and a mental evaluation on Tyrese have been granted.

AceShowbiz - Tyrese Gibson has won 50/50 joint custody of his daughter Shayla after vicious court battle with his ex-wife Norma. TMZ has reported that on Friday, November 17, a Los Angeles judge restored the "Fast and Furious" actor's shared custody of their 10-year-old daughter beginning in January.
The judge dismissed a domestic violence restraining order against Tyrese brought by his ex-wife. Norma previously accused the Roman Pearce depicter of beating their child 12 to 16 times. But in his defense, Tyrese said he only struck her once on the bottom, and that Norma was simply vengeful.
Therefore, the judge denied her request for a permanent restraining order as her claim was said to be "100|percent| unsubstantiated." The judge also denied Norma's request for a mental health evaluation on Tyrese following his social media meltdown which previously became headline news.
Tyrese had been battling Norma in court for weeks over custody of their daughter Shayla. Over the course of the three-week legal battle, Tyre had posted multiple videos on social media chronicling his own personal turmoil. He had an online meltdown, but said that the prescription drugs he was taking for depression were to blame.
Tyrese also claimed Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith gave him $5 million to help with legal fees. Sharing a series of photos featuring him and the powerhouse couple, Tyrese said they called him and offered the money as long as he agreed to "get off and stay off the internet" following his online meltdown.
On the day the judge granted him joint custody of her daughter, Tyrese celebrated his victory by taking to Instagram to share a screenshot of TMZ's news coverage of his court case. Praising the news outlet for their accurate coverage of the case, the "Transformers" actor called their story "well balanced" and "TRUE."
Tyrese also bashed his ex-wife Norma in his post, asking her why she keeps his last name of Gibson. "You're NOT a Gibson your name is NORMA MITCHELL," wrote the 38-year-old actor. He added, "There are only 3 real Gibson's from my side.... Shayla Gibson, TYRESE Gibson and my real wife Samantha Lee Gibson."
