RuPaul announced the contestants for the upcoming third season of "RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars" on Friday, October 20. The Emmy Award winning host revealed that returning queens Aja, BenDeLaCreme, Chi Chi DeVayne, Kennedy Davenport, Milk, Morgan McMichaels, Shangela, Thorgy Thor and Trixie Mattel would go wig-to-wig in the upcoming season of "RuPaul's Drag Race" spin-off.

"For 'All Stars' season 3, the expectations are high, and these mighty queens do NOT disappoint," executive producer and host RuPaul said in a press release. "These girls are talented, hungry and ready to do whatever it takes to earn their place in the Drag Race Hall of Fame."

Coming from the second season were Morgan McMichaels, who took the eighth place, and Shangela. Shangela, who was the first queen to be sent home in the second season, later competed again in season 3, where she came in sixth.

BenDeLaCreme took the fifth place in season 6 of "RuPaul's Drage Race" as well as won the title of "Miss Congeniality". Also coming from season 6 is Milk, who came in the ninth place. Trixie Mattel and Kennedy Davenport, meanwhile, returned to the franchise after competing in season 7 of "RuPaul's Drag Race". Trixie previously came in sixth and Kennedy went all the way to fourth place.

Chi Chi took the fourth place in season 8, while Thorgy Thor took the sixth place that season. Aja, meanwhile, came fresh off last season 9 after nabbing the ninth place.

Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley and Ross Mathews have been tapped to return as judges alongside RuPaul for "a season tucked to the edges with more tea, more shade and more twist-filled challenges than ever before."

The announcement came after the huge success of the previous season 9 of Emmy-winning "RuPaul's Drag Race" as the show made the jump to VH1 after previously airing on LGBT-themed channel Logo. Season 9 was dubbed the show's most-watched season ever as the Lady GaGa-starring premiere pulled in 1 million viewers.

"RuPaul Drag Race All Stars" season 3 is set to premiere in early 2018 on VH1.
