Fan-favorite 'Drag Race' star Jiggly Caliente has faced a major health challenge, leading to her hospitalization and the subsequent amputation of her right leg.

The drag performer, whose real name is Bianca Castro, experienced a "severe infection," resulting in the amputation of most of her right leg.

In a heartfelt statement shared on social media, Jiggly's family announced her hospitalization and the subsequent surgery.

"The family of Bianca Castro, known to many as the beloved drag performer Jiggly Caliente, is heartbroken to share that over the last month Bianca has experienced a serious health setback. Due to a severe infection, she was hospitalized and, as a result, has undergone the loss of most of her right leg," the statement read.

This significant health issue means that Jiggly will not be appearing in the upcoming season of "Drag Race Philippines". Her family emphasized that her recovery process will be extensive and asked for privacy during this challenging time. They invited fans to "uplift her with messages of hope and love on her social media channels."

Support from fellow "Drag Race" alumni and the broader community has been swift and strong. Manila Luzon wrote, "Praying for you, sister," while Jujubee added, "I love you so much. Can't wait to see you again."

Other notable names including Hannah Conda, Spankie Jackzon, and Kween Kong also shared their well wishes.

Jiggly Caliente first gained widespread recognition on season four of "RuPaul's Drag Race" in 2012 and further cemented her place in the "Drag Race" family on "All Stars 6" in 2021. She has also showcased her acting chops with a guest role on FX's "Pose" and has been a permanent judge on "Drag Race Philippines" since 2022.
