Ahead of its upfront presentation, The CW has officially canceled two of its shows, "No Tomorrow" and "Frequency", after one season. Neither of both series got a back order, making the first time in The CW's 11-year history that no new fall series is picked up for a full-season order.

"No Tomorrow" and "Frequency" started off to low ratings. "Frequency", which premiered on last October 5, averaged 1.5 million viewers and a 0.4 rating among adults 18-49 including DVR. Meanwhile, "No Tomorrow" only managed to pull in 1 million viewers with 0.3 ratings in 18-49 demo after debuting on October 4, 2016. The network previously opted not to give those shows a full season order, meaning they both ended at mid-season with just 13 episodes.

"Frequency", based on the film of the same name, followed Detective Raimy Sullivan (Peyton List) who suddenly found that she was able to communicate with her long-dead father via a Ham radio. It allowed him to speak with her from 20 years in the past, before his murder. Also starring on the series were Riley Smith, Mekhi Phifer and Devin Kelley.

"No Tomorrow", meanwhile, was about Evie Covington (Tori Anderson), a risk-averse quality-control assessor who met free-spirited man Xavier Holliday (Joshua Sasse). Xavier believed that humankind had a mere eight months and twelve days until the doom, thus he encouraged Evie to take more chances and have fun.

Also in the bubbles are "iZombie" and "The Originals".
