Winners of the 48th Annual NAACP Image Awards were announced over two nights in a non-televised gala on Friday, February 10 and in a live ceremony on Saturday, February 11. Dominating the nominations in TV category, "Black-ish" came out as the biggest winner at the prize-giving event with a total of six nods.

The ABC series was named Outstanding Comedy Series, while its stars Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Laurence Fishburne and Marsai Martin grabbed an award each in acting category. The show also won Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series for Kenya Barris' script for its episode titled "Hope".

OWN's "Queen Sugar" won Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series for Ava DuVernay's script for its episode "First Things First". Taraji P. Henson nabbed the Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series title for her role on "Empire" and Sterling K. Brown took home the Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series prize for his role on "This Is Us".

Henson also picked up an award in film category for her portrayal of mathematician Katherine Goble Johnson in biopic "Hidden Figures". The Academy Award-nominated movie was additionally named Outstanding Motion Picture, beating out "Fences", "Loving", "Moonlight" and "The Birth of a Nation".

Despite losing the Outstanding Motion Picture, "Moonlight" won in four other categories, including Outstanding Independent Motion Picture, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for Mahershala Ali as well as Outstanding Writing and Directing in a Motion Picture (Film) for Barry Jenkins.

Also scoring multiple wins were "The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story", Beyonce Knowles and "Fences". "People v. O.J. Simpson" won three, Beyonce grabbed five awards and "Fences" took home two prizes.

"People v. O.J. Simpson" helped its stars Courtney B. Vance and Regina King win Outstanding Actor and Actress in a Television Movie, Limited-Series or Dramatic Special, respectively. "Fences" actors Denzel Washington and Viola Davis also bagged an award each in acting category.

Meanwhile, Beyonce won through her album "Lemonade", her "Formation" music video as well as her collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, "Freedom". The pregnant diva, however, lost the Entertainer of the Year title to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

During the live ceremony hosted by Anthony Anderson, Donald Trump was still a favorite topic of jokes. "Where the hell was Steve Harvey when he needed him to announce the presidential election results?" Anderson quipped, referring to the time when Harvey falsely announced the winner of 2016 Miss Universe. Trevor Noah also joked onstage, "Lets get into it, I'm black and immigrant so I don't have that much time."
