The 'Genie in a Bottle' hitmaker gives an update on her possible new music through an Instagram post.

Christina Aguilera teased fans about her new music on Instagram. On Wednesday, February 8, the "Lady Marmalade" singer caused an uproar in the photo sharing platform by giving hints that her new music would be coming soon.
"Finishing touches to my heart," Christina wrote in the caption along with a picture of her. In the black-and-white picture, Christina can be seen through a reflection on a CD. She's sitting in front of a piano while resting her head on her right hand. Christina is seen closing her eyes, showing off her dazzling eyelashes.
Christina hasn't released any album since "Lotus" back in 2012. But she has been working hard to release one as she kept giving updates to her fans about her efforts. In 2014, the pop diva said that she had a meeting with Pharrell Williams for her next album. A year later, the "Burlesque" actress revealed that she was on a "marination process" for the album.
"I have to make sure the details are all there," Christina said in a statement at that time. "I really value the creative process and the time it takes. I am working with some incredible new people that, even I'm surprised [to be working with], and then also re-joining with some dear friends of mine, collaborators [like] the beautiful Linda Perry," she added.
Last February, the mother of two also gave an update about her upcoming "multiple" albums, "One being a follow-up to my debut Spanish album, [and] a few solo projects with some incredible producers," she said. The "Beautiful" hitmaker kept delaying the release of her upcoming album because she wanted to really "pour her heart" in it as she needed to ensure her record was "genuine."
