AceShowbiz - Elle Townley is set to release her rendition of the classic Christmas hymn O Holy Night on November 20, accompanied by a lyric video on her YouTube channel. The 18-year-old Texas singer-songwriter has cherished the song since childhood, making it a natural choice for her holiday release.
Townley performs lead vocals, most of the guitar arrangements and backing vocals on the track. Nic Whitworth produced and engineered the recording at Austin's Orb Recording Studios, and also contributed piano, electric guitar, mandolin, bass and organ. Jim Leadbetter played drums. The hymn was originally written by Placide Cappeau.

In a statement, Townley said, "'O Holy Night' has been my favorite traditional Christmas song to sing since I was a little girl, making this release especially meaningful to me." She added, "Christmas is my favorite time of year, and I hope this rendition reminds listeners of the true meaning of the season: the birth of Jesus, His love, and the hope He brings to the world. I hope my version is a reminder of the reason for the season!"
The release follows her 2025 original holiday song Perfect Christmas, which earned her two nominations at the 2026 Josie Music Awards for Best Actress in a Music Video and Social Impact Video of the Year. While that song showcased her songwriting, O Holy Night turns toward a traditional hymn and the spiritual meaning of Christmas.

Townley has also announced two Christmas-themed performances in her hometown of Georgetown, Texas. She will return to the 45th annual Georgetown Christmas Stroll on December 5, and will play a ticketed show at Six String Guitar Lounge on December 18.
