A Long Island writer named Melissa Molomo wants the model to apologize for copying the text and sharing it on the social media last month without permission.

AceShowbiz - Last month, Hailey Baldwin shared a cryptic Instagram post amid the drama surrounding Justin Bieber's relationship with Sofia Richie. Now, a Long Island woman is threatening to sue the supermodel over the note, which she claims was copied without her permission.

In case you missed it, Bieber and his ex Selena Gomez had a social media spat after he threatened to make his Instagram account private. Baldwin then weighed in on the online feud by uploading the message, hinting that she's supporting the "Hands to Myself" songstress.

"What makes the present so powerful is when we take complete responsibility for our actions, we allow ourselves self-growth. Misplacing the blame onto someone else isn't going to get you to the next stage in life, so try not to manipulate a situation to make yourself look better," a part of the post read.

Turns out, the message was created by author Melissa Molomo for her book "Say What's Real". It was posted on her social media accounts along with the hashtag #MelissaMolomo and @MissSayWhatsReal, which Baldwin removed before she shared with her own 7.5 million Instagram followers.

Because of that, Molomo has sent Baldwin a cease and desist letter in which she asks the 19-year-old to publicly apologize and stop plagiarizing her work. The letter, which was obtained by Page Six, also states that the daughter of Stephen Baldwin could be liable for damages up to $150,000.

"In copying and using Ms. Molomo's work without permission, you have taken credit and caused confusion as to whom the original author of this work is," Molomo's attorney argues, adding that Molomo wants Baldwin to "make a social media post apologizing for stealing [her] content and fraudulently passing it off as your own."
