While in New York City for Kanye West's Yeezy 4 fashion show, Sofia Richie visited tattoo artist Jon Boy for two new tattoos. One of them is a tiny black cross which looks exactly like the one her boyfriend Justin Bieber got earlier this year.
Sofia documented the experience on Snapchat Thursday, September 8. Sporting a loose-fitting black T-shirt and gray baseball cap, she at first admitted that she's "really scared" of getting permanently inked. However, she looked happy when showing off the tiny cross on the inside of her left middle finger.
Sofia also let her Instagram followers see the tattoo in a picture she posted on the social media along with a shout-out to Jon Boy. "Wanted this cross forever!! Thank you @jonboytattoo your the best," she wrote in the caption.
Jon happens to be the same guy creating the same design underneath Justin's left eye back in May. "It represents his journey in finding purpose with God," the artist said of the Biebs' ink at the time.
The other tattoo Sofia got that day was a "13:4" on the back of her neck. That's likely a reference to the beloved bible verse that reads, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud." Justin apparently also inspired the tattoo as he has an entire verse of the Bible on his shoulder.
Sofia debuted her tattoo shortly after she opened up about her very public romance with Justin. "We have a special relationship. Justin is very easy to talk to, and that's hard to find with people in Los Angeles," the daughter of Lionel Richie said on the latest issue of Billboard magazine.
When asked how she handled the media circus that had been following her especially since her relationship with Justin, she said she learned from big sister Nicole Richie. "I remember the paparazzi and the s**t people would say to Nicole, and she wouldn't respond. I'm going to be real with you: It. Doesn't. Bother. Me. As long as I'm happy," she explained.
