The Malcolm Merlyn depicter will continue to appear on 'Arrow' and will also be seen on other DC shows on the network, including 'The Flash' and 'Legends of Tomorrow'.

The CW wants more Malcolm Merlyn. John Barrowman, who plays the character on "Arrow", has been promoted to series regular, not only on the Stephen Amell-headlined series, but also on other superhero shows executive produced by Greg Berlanti on the network.
That means Merlyn a.k.a. The Dark Archer could appear on "The Flash", "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" as well as "Supergirl", which is moving to the teen-skewing network in its second season. As to why the character is getting expanded, it remains to be seen. TVLine first reported the news.
"The Flash" and "Legends" star Wentworth Miller previously struck the same deal at the end of the first season of "Legends". At the time, Berlanti said, "What it really emulates to us is the comic books themselves, where there really are a cast of characters. In success, we hope to continue with other characters finding their way across all the shows."
