The main actor is recovering well after injuring his head while filming a scene in Vancouver, Canada last month.

AceShowbiz - Dylan O'Brien is expected to return to filming "Maze Runner: The Death Cure" soon as he's making a good progress on recovery. The 24-year-old actor, who was injured while filming a scene last month, will be back to the set next month.

"He's healing very well," O'Brien's co-star Giancarlo Esposito told E! Online on Tuesday, April 5. "He got put together a couple of weeks ago...He's one tough cookie." Esposito said shooting was scheduled to begin again May 15.

The accident, as reported by WorkSafeBC, occurred when O'Brien was driving a motorcycle. He suffered a "concussion, facial fracture and lacerations" after falling to the ground when the ride went into a slide after completing a stunt. "The worker struck his head on the pavement and temporarily lost consciousness," the report said.

Esposito explained, "He got his bell rung. I would imagine many who witnessed thought that was it...[But] he's a survivor. The one good thing about Dylan that I think is going to help him get back on schedule with us very soon is he has a great attitude."

"The Maze Runner: The Death Cure" is still scheduled for release on February 17, 2017 despite the delay.
