TNT has announced the verdicts on the fate of a number of its shows. Three shows didn't make the cut, while two of the network's steady performers have got renewals along with a sophomore crime drama.

"Legends" which was headlined by Sean Bean, "Agent X" starring Sharon Stone, and period cop procedural "Public Morals" were those unlucky shows which got canceled. "Legends" had run for two seasons, while the other two just debuted the first seasons earlier this year.

The second season of "Legends" dropped sharply from the first season, premiering to below one million viewers. "Agent X", meanwhile, received lukewarm response since the beginning despite its star power. As for "Public Morals", it opened with 2.14 million viewers, but fell to less than half a million viewers for its last episode which now becomes the series finale.

The remaining new episodes of "Legends" and "Agent X" will air as planned.

On the other hand, "Major Crimes", "The Librarians" and the more modest performer "Murder in the First" have been renewed for a new season each. "Major Crimes" will return for a 13-episode season 5, "The Librarians", which is an extension of the TV movies that starred Noah Wyle, will get 10 episodes for the forthcoming season 3, and "Murder in the First" will return for a 10-episode third season in summer 2016.

These renewals and cancellations come as TNT and TBS president Kevin Reilly prepares to unveil his new projects in 2016.
