After months of speculations, Sam Smith finally confirmed earlier this month that he's recording the theme song for the next "James Bond" film, "Spectre". He now gives fans the first listen to the track titled "Writing's on the Wall" before he releases it in full later this week.
Smith shared on Instagram on Monday, September 21 a snippet of the song, which was co-written and produced by his frequent collaborator Jimmy Napes. The sneak-peek doesn't have the 23-year-old British star's signature vocals, but the haunting instrumentals heard on it is enough to get fans excited for now.
"Four days!!!! Thank you so much to everyone pre-ordering, cannot wait for you to hear 'Writing's On The Wall'," read the caption of the short Instagram clip.
"Writing's on the Wall" is due out on Friday, September 25. "This is one of the highlights of my career," Smith previously said when confirming his involvement in the upcoming "Bond" film. "I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations. I hope you all enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed making it."
