Former Guns N' Roses Star Slash Says He Is No Longer Feuding With Axl Rose

When asked if he and the GNR vocalist are on the friendly terms again, Slash responds, 'It was probably way overdue.'

It's about time Slash and Axl Rose ended their bickering, so the former Guns N' Roses guitarist suggested. In a recent interview with Aftonbladet TV in Sweden, Slash hinted that he had finally buried the hatchet with his ex-bandmate after a longtime feud.

"I've heard that you made friends with Axl Rose again. How was that possible after all those years?" a reporter asked the guitarist, to which he replied, "It was probably way overdue, you know, but it's ... you know, it's very cool at this point. You know, let some of that, sort of, negative…dispel some of that negative stuff that was going on for so long."

When the interviewer pressed Slash if the band's original members would ever reunite again, the guitarist played it coy, "Oh, I couldn't answer that one, no ... all right, let's get off the subject."

GNR still exists today with Axl Rose being the only original member on the lineup. Back in 2012 when the band was inducted into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio, the vocalist refused to attend the ceremony. Only Slash, Steven Adler, Duff McKagan, and Matt Sorum were present.

Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong who introduced the rock band at the ceremony said back then, "Most singers are crazy. I can vouch for that." He added, "He is one of the best front man to ever touch a microphone. Sometimes you have to look back at chapters of your life to move forward."
