AceShowbiz - The Los Angeles Medical Examiner has released an official report confirming that Lucy-Bleu Knight, the 25-year-old stepdaughter of Slash, died by suicide on July 19. The manner of death was ruled a suicide due to hydrogen sulfide toxicity.
According to the report, Knight left suicide notes in her rental unit, indicating a history of undiagnosed mental illness. She expressed paranoia and hallucinations to her family. The report also notes that Knight had been hospitalized for 5150 holds twice in 2024, but no official diagnosis was given.
Disturbingly, Knight created a lethal dose of chemicals, including cerium hydroxide, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and sodium thiosulfate, using a cooler. She also sealed light fixtures, electrical outlets and cracks in the bathroom to prevent gas from escaping.
First responders were alerted to a potential hazard when they noticed resistance while opening the front door and detected a chemical scent. They immediately retreated and called for assistance. Firefighters subsequently discovered the source of the gas, a hand-written note by Knight for first responders was placed on a trash can in the kitchen.
Knight's body was found on the bathroom floor of her Airbnb unit. The property manager had attempted to contact her several times before requesting a welfare check from law enforcement.
In a heartbreaking tribute, Slash described his stepdaughter as "an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul." He asked for privacy for the family during this difficult time.
The report also revealed that Knight had pills in her wallet, including escitalopram and paliperidone, which are used to treat mental balance and mental disorders, respectively.
