Bobby Cannavale's Richie Finestra, a record label president in 1970s New York, introduces the story of life which is close to drugs and violence.

AceShowbiz - After teased in a short Instagram video, HBO's new series "Vinyl" has got its first full teaser released online. The video opens with Bobby Cannavale's Richie Finestra introducing the story of his life as a record label president, who is trying to save his company and his soul without destroying everyone in his path.

Set in 1970s New York, the drama will present a ride through the sex- and drug-addled music business at the dawn of punk, disco and hip-hop. Judging from the teaser, the series will also feature violence amidst the hard-partying lifestyle of those working in the industry.

Coming from Martin Scorsese, Mick Jagger and Terence Winter, "Vinyl" also stars Olivia Wilde as Richie's former actress/model wife Devon, Ray Romano as Zak Yankovich, the Head of Promotions for the label, and Juno Temple as Jamie Vine, an ambitious assistant in the A&R department with aspirations of breaking through the glass ceiling.

No premiere date is set for the new series just yet, but it is slated to air in 2016.
