Philbin will appear in the fourth hour of NBC's morning show 'Today', joining his former 'Live!' co-host Gifford as well as Hoda Kotb.

AceShowbiz - Regis Philbin has landed a new daytime TV gig. The veteran TV host is joining "Today" as a contributor to the fourth hour. He will appear with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, who co-anchor the hour, once a month.

"We thought he would be the perfect person to join our motley crew," Kotb said when announcing the news while visiting a cafe where Philbin playfully served as a bartender. He then tried his new desk, commenting, "It feels good."

The new job reunites Philbin with his former "Live!" co-host Gifford. The 83-year-old actor/singer hosted "Live!" with Gifford from 1985 until 2000, when she departed the show. He continued hosting the show with Kelly Ripa until his departure in 2011.

Prior to being named a contributor on "Today", Philbin had appeared on the fourth hour of the NBC morning show several times in recent months.
